1. Surgeon Ge🍒neral Seeks Warning Labels on Social Media Platforms

U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy says he would push for a warning label on social media platforms that advises parents of their harm to adolescents’ mental health. In an essay published in The New York Times opinion section, Murthy wrote that such a warning label could send parents a strong message “that social media has not been proved safe.” According to the report, such warnings, which are on tobacco and alcohol products, would first require congressional approval. After Congress in 1965 voted to require warnings on cigarette packages that smoking “may be hazardous to your health" following a Surgeon General report, U.S. smoking levels began a 50-year decline.

2. Adidas Reportedly Probes Bribery In China After Whi൩stleblower C🦩omplaint

Adidas shares are falling about 4% in German trading Monday following a report that the sportswear giant has launched an investigation into allegations of large-scale bribery in China after getting a whistleblower complaint. According to a Financial Times report on Sunday, an anonymous letter claiming to be written by “employees of Adidas China” accused senior staff of embezzling “millions of euros” and named several staffers—including a senior manager involved in the German firm’s marketing budget. Adidas confirmed that it had received a letter on June 7 alerting it to “potential co💖mpliance violations in China,” the FT said. 

3. Tempus AI Rises Further ♌After Strong Debut Friday 

Shares of healthcare technology firm Tempus AI (TEM) are up more than 4% in premarket trading after closing nearly 9% higher at $40.25 in their 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:debut on the Nasdaq Friday. Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google is among the investors in the firm, which uses AI to analyze medical tests to help doctors better treat their patients. The company sold 11.1 million shares in its 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:initial public offering (IPO) at $37, the high end of its target, raising $410.7 million. 

4. Autodesk Gains on Repor🌠t Starboard Value Has $500M Stake 

Autodesk (ADSK) shares are rising more than 4% in premarket trading after The Wall Street Journal reported that Starboard Value has around a 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:$500 million stake in the design-software maker and is pushing for changes in the company. Autodesk shares have fallen this year after it delayed releasing its annual report as it launched a probe its accounting practices, and then faced a 澳洲♒幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:investigation. In an update last month, Autodesk said the probe found no material issues and that adjustments to its 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:financial statements weren’t required.

5. Boeing in Focus on 🐭Delayed Output Goal for Troubled 737 Jets 

Shares of Boeing (BA) are in focus Monday after Reuters reported that the company 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:told suppliers it plans to slow the output goal of its troubled narrow-body 737 jet for three months. The report said an updated Boeing supplier schedule circulated within the industry showed a target of 42 jets produced a month in September, a pushback from its previous target of June. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded Boeing’s 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:expansion plans for its best-selling 737 MAX in January after the jet type flown by Alaska Airlines (ALK) was involved in a near-fatal accident when a door plug detached mid-flight. Boeing shares are little changed in premarket trading.
