Aja Mc🥀Clanahan started her journey in the world of finance as a double major in Economics and Spanish at the University of Illinois. Upon graduating, she was tasked with figuring out how to pay off her student loans and other debts. 

A few years later, she accomplished the ta♚sk of paying off over $120,000 in debt, which helped jumpstart a database consulting business, helped her invest in real estate, and manage her children’s careers in acting and entertainment. 

After accomplishing these things, Aja decided to start a blog as a way to “mass mentor” people who🔯 approached her with questions about getting out of debt or investing. 

Once her blog took off, she received numerous offers to write for major web outlets. Years later, her work is now featured on top-ranking personal finance websites such as Yahoo Finance!, Money.com, Bank♛rate.com, Experian.com, MSN Money, Investopedia and others.

Education

Aja earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and had a double major in Spanish and Economics. During her matriculation, she received grants to r꧟esearch phenomena such as tax havens and organized labor in places like Puerto Rico and Cuba.
