As a financial planner, her mission is to help families achieve financial well-being with actionable strategies, empowerment tools, and educational programs. In an effort to increase financial literacy among the Hispanic population in the U.S., Elaine produces content specifically for these consumers, typically in Spanish, on her various social media platforms. She also hosts three in Spanish, which currently have over 20,000 students enrolled. In addition, Elaine serves as external director for accounting firm Shechter & Everett, LLP, where she works with women to empower them before, during, and after the separation process wit𒐪h understanding, organization, and control of the well-being of their finances. Prior to starting the Family and Money Matters Institute, Elaine held various roles within the wealth management, education, and financial services spaces.

Elaine has written eight books, with Family and Money Matters: Life Lessons for the Next Generation, being the most well-known as a bestseller, and currently serves as a CFP Board Public Policy Council member. She has delivered more than 350 lectures in 35 cities, and is often featured as a financial expert on well-known platforms like CNN, Telemundo, Gestión, and WSJ. She has a monthly financial literacy segment on Telemundo, too.
