KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Nvidia is partnering with Foxconn to build AI-powered data centers for a wide range of applications, including electric vehicle platforms.
  • The companies will set up AI factories that will receive and process data from EVs to make the vehicles smarter.
  • The partnership also extends to manufacturing smart robotic systems.

Nvidia (NVDA) is expanding its partnership with Apple supplier Foxconn to develop data centers that will harness 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:artificial intelligence (AI) to power a wide range of applications, including electric vehicle (EV) platforms, the company announced on Wednesday.

With Nvidia chips and software for AI, Foxconn plans to build and scale "AI factories" that can process vast amounts of data, to support digitalized manufacturing and inspection workflows, EV platforms, and robotics systems, as well as language-based generative services.

The move builds on earlier partnerships between Nvidia and Foxconn, with the companies announcing back in January that Foxconn would use Nvidia's chips to develop self-driving vehicle platforms, as Foxconn expands its business in the connected and electric vehicles space.

Rather than selling vehicles under its own brand, Foxconn has said it aims to design and manufacture cars for EV companies like Tesla, much like it manufactures other products for different global brands.

Nvidia shares took a hit this week after the U.S. government moved to 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:tighten restrictions on exports of AI chips to China. H💎owever, they were still up for the year and have nearly tripled in value year-to-date.
