The S&P 500 closed fractionally higher, while the tech-heavy 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:Nasdaq Composite added 0.3%, as the two indexes snapped four-session losing streaks. The earnings report from Nvidia, which has become 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体🌞彩网:a marquee quarterly 🅺event for market participants, could help revive optimism about the AI trade that has fueled a stock market rally in recent years or inject fresh concerns about the sustainability of those gains. (The stock was little changed in after-hours trading even as the 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:results came in better than analysts had anticipated.)

Other large-cap technology stocks were mixed. Chipmaker Broadcom (AVGO) jumped 5%, while Microsoft (MSFT), Meta Platforms (META) and Amazon (AMZN) also moved higher. EV maker Tesla (TSLA) was down 4%, 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:extending a recent slump, while Apple (AAPL) retreated nearly 3% and Alphabet (GOOG) fell 1.5%.

Shares of Super Micro Computer (SMCI) jumped 12% after the server maker 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:submitted its del🍨ayed financial repor👍ts just ahead of a deadline♔ late Tuesday to avoid being delisted by the Nasdaq.

Lowe's (LOW) gained 2% after the home improvement retailer's quarterly results 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:topped analysts' estimates.

Bitcoin 🍃was at $84,400 in late-afternoon trading, down from a high this morning of $89,400 and trading near its lowest level in three months.

Gold futures were up 0.4% at $2,930 an ounce, while West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures fell 0.2% to $68.💦80 per barrel.

The yield on 10-year Treasurys, which has fallen in recent days amid the rising concerns about the health of the U.S. economy, was at 4.26% in recent trading, down from 4.30% at yesterday's close and at a new three-month low. Market participants are keeping a close eye on economic data, with a particular focus on 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:inflation numbers due on Friday.

There Are Some Big Moves Tonight—Nvidia Not One of Them

February 26, 2025 06:27 PM EST

There💜 are some pretty big movers in after-hours trading today. As of last check, none of them were Nvidia.

That's not to say nothing's doing: The stock was recently down about 0.5% as its post-earnings conference call progressed, as the stock bounced between gains and losses after the 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:better-than-expected earning𝓀s release.

Shares rose about 3.7% during regular trading hours, and options traders 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:have bet on a bigger move over the next two sessions; the stock has in the past been volatile af🍎ter earnings.

Meanwhile, traders looking for action in the late session were looking elsewhere. Nutanix (NTNX) and Snowflake (SNOW) were recently on double-digit gains, while Tandem Diabetes Care (TNDM) and Teladoc (TDOC) were making comparat🌟ively big moves in the other direction.

Traders Pricing in Big Post-Earnings Move for Nvidia Shares

February 26, 2025 04:20 PM EST

Nvidia holds the record for both the largest one-day increase and decrease in market value, and option♊s traders on Wednesday were positioning themselves fo✤r another sizable move in the stock.

Nvidia options pricing on Wednesday after꧑noon suggested traders expect shares to move r𒉰oughly $10, or about 8%, in either direction during the two days after Wednesday’s earnings.

That would be the stock's largest post-earnings move since May when shares gained more than 12% in the two days after Nvidia 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:blew past earnings expectations

Nvidia stock has retreated after each of its two most recent reports. Shares lost more than 4% in the days after its 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:August report and almost 3% after its 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:November earnings. The company’s results exceeded expectations in bo💛th of those instances, but disappointed investors who may have been looking for even larger beats.

Nvidia’s earnings come during 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:a difficult stretch for stocks. The Magnificent Seven stocks, which have accounted for a large share of the stock market’s gains over the last two years, were 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:trading in correction territory on Wednesday.

Nvidia gained 3.7% during Wednesday's regular trading session, closing at $131.28. Despite the stock's recent sluggish performance, it remains up 66% over the past 12 months.

What Analysts Think of Salesforce Ahead of Earnings

February 26, 2025 03:19 PM EST

Salesforce (CRM𝐆) is expected to report fourth-quarter results after the market closes Wednesday, with analysts largely bullishꦅ on the cloud-based software company's stock, anticipating AI-driven gains.

Of the 25 analysts covering the stock tracked by Visible Alpha, 20 have issued “buy” or equivalent ratings for Salesforce, with the remai🔥ning five analysts giving the stock a “hold” rating. Their consensus price target is roughly $399.

Salesfor꧋ce shares were up 0.8% at $308 in late trading Wednesday.

Deutsche ⭕Bank analysts recently maintained a “buy” rating and $400 price target, pointing to early momentum in Agentforce, the company’s suite of autonomous AI agents unveiled in September.

The analysts said an “AI halo effect” is driving investments to t൩he Salesforce platform, “even if current Agentforce spend is just gaining steam.”

The customer relationship management software giant is expected to🅠 post revenue of $10.04 billion, up 8% year-over-year, and adjusted earnings per share of $2.62, up from $2.29 a year ago.

Earlier this month, Salesforce said former Gilead Sciences (GILD) CFO Robin Washington will join the company on March 21 as chief operating and financial officer. She will succeed COO Brian Millham, who plans to retire in May, and CFO Amy Weaver, who said last year she would leave the company when a succes෴sor was named.

Oppenheimer analysts called Millham's departure a "negative surprise" but said they expect Washington "should continue raising operating efficiency." The analysts reiterated an "outperform" rating and $415 price target, calling Salesforce "one of the healthiest long-term profitable growth stories" among 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:software-as-a-service companies.

What Wall Street Thinks of Nvidia Ahead of Earnings

February 26, 2025 02:18 PM EST

Heading into the scheduled release of earnings from Nvidia (NVDA) after the ma🌼rket closes W🀅ednesday, analysts are broadly bullish on the stock.

All but one of the 18 analysts covering the stock who are tracked by Visible Alpha have issued “buy” or equivalent ratings, with one analyst giving the stock a “hold” rating. Their consensus price target of about $175 would imply 35% upside from Wednesday's intraday price. The stock was up 2% at $129 recently.

Wedbush and Oppenheimer analysts, who reiterated $175 price targets in the days ahead of the report, suggested booming demand for the company's advanced chips as Big Tech firms ramp up spending on AI i𝓰nfrastructure could lead to another 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:strong quarter.

Nvidia is projected to post record quarterly revenue of $38.34 billion, up 73% year-over-year, accord𓆏ing to estimates compiled by Visible Alpha. Net income is expected to climb to $21.1 billion, from $12.84 billion a year e𒈔arlier.

UBS analysts, who maintained a $185 price target, noted "investor expectations having crept up a bit recently," and added supply chain improvements could mean higher sales of Nvidia’s Blackwell line. UBS nearly doubled its estimate for Blackwell’s contribution to fourth-quarter revenue to $9 billion, up from $5 billion previously.

Oppenheimer also indicated the ꧅澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:rapid rise of Chines▨e AI startup DeepSeek couꦦld ultimately prove "positive" for the chipmaker, as competition ꦫpushes Nvidia's American clients to step up their efforts in the AI race instead of pulling back.

Supermicro Soars as Company Beats Filing Deadline

February 26, 2025 12:58 PM EST

Supermicro stock is flying.

Shares of Super Micro Computer (SMCI) were up nearly 20% in intraday trading Wednesday to lead 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:S&P 500 gainers, after the server maker last night filed 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:belated financial disclosures with the SEC, beating a deadline that might have meant 🍸delisting.

In a statement late Tuesday, Supermicro said the company was back in compliance with Nasdaq listing requirements, no previously filed financial disclosures were restated, and "the matter is now closed."

The morning's rise has the shares up about 85% for the year so far, though well off highs seen about a year ago. Supermicro's market capitalization was recently around $27 billion, according to Visible Alpha.

The news, meanwhile, may ease some investors' concerns about the path forward for the stock and return some degree of focus to operations; executives earlier this month offered an 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:upbeat growth outlook for the compan꧒y, targeting $40 billion of revenue in 2026.

February 26, 2025 12:04 PM EST

The Magnificent Seven group of major technology stocks were gaining ground Wednesday after moving into 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:correction territory on Tuesday as concerns about slowing growth and elevated valuations grew in the lead-up to 澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果体彩网:Nvidia’s quarterly earnings this afternoon.
