More changes are coming for s🍰tudent loan borrowers enrolled in income-driven repayment plans.
The Department of Education said Monday that it is reworking the income-driven repayment (IDR) plan process. Under a꧋ new method, enrolling in th🏅e IDR plans will be simpler, and existing borrowers will no longer need to recertify their income every year, it said.
The reworked plan comes less than a month after the department reopened applications for IDR plans.
